Cyber Secret has been added to the list of early Triple Crown nominations, making the total 398.
Cyber Secret, a Kentucky-bred son of Broken Vow trained by Lynn Whiting, belongs to Oaklawn Park owner Charles Cella. In a front-running effort on Saturday, Cyber Secret won a 1 1/16-mile allowance race at the track in Hot Springs, Ark.
Formerly trained by Chad Brown, Cyber Secret (Worth Watching) was purchased privately by Cella late last year from Gary and Mary West after he finished seventh in the Grade II Kentucky Jockey Club at Churchill Downs.
The colt was a $110,000 Keeneland November 2009 purchase.
Churchill Downs officials Cyber Secret was omitted from the list of early nominees even though a Triple Crown representative took the nomination at Oaklawn prior to the Jan. 21 close of early nominations. According to Churchill Downs, stewards at Churchill approved the addition to the Triple Crown nomination list that was released for public consumption last Saturday.
Late nominations are due by March 24 and require a $6,000 payment. Early nominations cost $600.
