The first major decision by a jockey on the 2012 Triple Crown Trail has been made. Javier Castellano will get off Union Rags and remain on Algorithms in his next start.

Julien Leparoux will be aboard Union Rags. The two are expected to square off in the Grade II Fountain of Youth on Sunday, Feb. 26.

Castellano has been aboard Algorithms in all three of his career starts. He also rode Union Rags in the last three of his four starts.

Algorithms, trained by Todd Pletcher, will seek his third win at Gulfstream Park at Fountain of Youth. Michael Matz trainee Union Rags will make his first start at the track and his first since running second in the Grade I Breeders' Cup Juvenile on Nov. 5.

Matthew Muzikar, agent for Castellano, tweeted today, "A very tough decision but Javier and I feel as though its the correct decision. We wish Union Rags, Michael Matz & Mrs. Wyeth the best always!"

As for Leperoux, he tweeted, "I'm so excited about the news, can't wait to ride Union Rags."
