Gourmet Dinner Blows Out Three for FOY

Notable on the Gulfstream Park's worktab this morning was Gourmet Dinner, who had a sharp three-furlong blowout in :34.80 as he tuned up for Saturday’s Grade II Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes.

Trained by Steve Standridge, Gourmet Dinner gets a new rider in Ramon Dominguez, who flies in from New York. He replaces Sebastian Madrid, who rode the Trippi colt to in all of his previous seven starts with four victories and earnings of more than $900,000.

Dominguez also has mounts in the other two graded stakes on Saturday’s card – Darley Stable’s 3-year-old colt Crossbow in the Grade II Hutcheson Stakes for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin, and 3-year-old filly Pomeroys Pistol in the Grade II Davona Dale Stakes for owner-trainer Amy Tarrant.
