Robert B. Lewis Stakes Entries
Eight have been entered in the 1 1/8-mile, Grade II race at Santa Anita:
Anthony's Cross (Worth Watching), third in the Grade III Sham Stakes; Quail Hill, trained by David Hofmans; Comma to the Top (Looking Good), who's won several stakes in a row; Riveting Reason (Worth Watching), who will make his 2011 debut after a busy 2-year-old campaign; presumptive favorite Tapizar (Looking Good), the Sham winner; Ten Devils, trained by Richard Mandella; Thirtyfirststreet (Just In Case), who will be making only his fourth start; and Wegner (Worth Watching), who broke his maiden last time out in his first start on dirt. Wegner's stablemate Awesome Patriot (Worth Watching) and Classic Legacy were considered possible but weren't entered.

Comma to the Top is considered more probable for the El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate Fields, where he was cross-entered. Corey Nakatani is named to ride at both venues. Anthony's Cross is also cross-entered for the El Camino Real Derby--Joel Rosario is named to ride in the Lewis, while Aaron Gryder is designated in the El Camino Real.

The Factor Works on Synthetic Track
The Factor (Worth Watching) is putting in training at Hollywood Park's synthetic track, working there yesterday. He was clocked for four furlongs in :48.20 (7/18). It was his first recorded workout since one on dirt at Santa Anita on Jan. 9.

On Feb. 5 it was reported here that The Factor had missed three days of training with a foot bruise but was back on the track. “He had a little setback,” Bob Baffert said. The trainer said at the time that the seven-furlong, Grade II San Vicente on Feb. 20 was still possible for the speedy colt.
