Preakness Weather Forecast Improves
As of this post, there is a significant chance of rain at Pimlico every day this week--except Saturday, which has a forecast of sunny, 83 degrees and no chance of rain.

Tuesday shows a 90% chance of rain in the forecast, it's 60% on Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday holds a 40% chance, according to the National Weather Service. Highs are forecast in the 70's through Friday.

Trio Breeze on the Slop at CD--Updated 2:33 p.m. ET
Today at Churchill Downs, stable mates Nehro and Astrology each breezed four furlongs for trainer Steve Asmussen, and Midnight Interlude breezed three for Bob Baffert. All the workouts went on a sloppy track. More....

Others at Churchill Make Further Preparation
With three Preakness probables/possibles breezing at Churchill Downs today, the other prospects put in a little work of their own.

Dance City jogged a little more than a mile before the renovation break; Dialed In galloped a mile and a half under Stacy Prior a little after 7 o’clock; Shackleford, the Kentucky Derby pacesetter, jogged two miles after the renovation break under exercise rider Faustino Ramos; and Sway Away walked the shedrow two days after putting in workout.

Saratoga Red, who would need several defections to make the Preakness, walked a day after working five furlongs in 1:02.80.

Wyomia Leads Field of Seven in Black-Eyed Susan
It has been a quiet week at Pimlico for trainer Curtis Garrison and his star filly, but that is about to change. Garrison’s multiple graded stakes winner, Wyomia, headlines a field of seven entered for the 87th renewal of the Grade II Black-Eyed Susan this Friday. More....
