Amoss on the Fence with One, Off It with Another

Sum of the Parts worked today, and Shared Property was taken off Breeders' Cup consideration by Tom Amoss.

Sum of the Parts went five furlongs in 1:03.40 (28/40) before the renovation break, and Amoss said the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint “is a possibility” for the colt.

Amoss also said that Shared Property, winner of the Grade III Arlington-Washington Futurity but sixth as the favorite in the Grade I Dixiana Breeders’ Futurity, would not run in the Breeders’ Cup. “We are going to do something a little less ambitious,” Amoss said of Shared Property, who is nominated to the Grade III, $100,000-added Iroquois at a mile on Oct. 30. “We think he will be his best as a 3-year-old, and we are going to take a little time with him."
