Western Aristocrat to Bypass Breeders' Cup

10/19/2011

Western Aristocrat, who won the Grade 1 Jamaica Handicap on Oct. 8, will not return here for Breeders' Cup.

The Jeremy Noseda trainee returned to Newmarket yesterday, according to RacingPost.com, and will be pointed to racing in Dubai. However, Noseda said he could return to the U. S. before the end of the year. He didn't specify a race.

"We will move forward with the long-term target remaining the Godolphin Mile at next year's Dubai Carnival. It is possible though, that we will consider a tilt at another race in America this side of the new year. It all depends on the horse's general condition," Noseda wrote on his website.
