Algorithms and Discreet Dancer were sent out for final workouts for the Grade II Fountain of Youth

Monday at Palm Meadows, Algorithms was timed an easy half-mile in :49.00 (12/40), and Discreet Dancer went five furlongs in a bullet 1:00.20 (1/9).

Algorithms, a son of Bernardini purchased for $170,000 by Starlight Racing at Keeneland, has won all three of his starts, most recently the one-mile, Grade III Holy Bull Stakes by five lengths over 2-year-old Hansen.

Discreet Dancer is an E. Paul Robsham Florida homebred by Discreet Cat. He's won his only two starts at the Gulfstream meeting, beginning with a track record debut performance on Dec. 3 when he won by 9 3/4 lengths going 5 ½ furlongs. He came back to win a one-mile allowance on Jan. 7 by 5 1/2 lengths.

Both Algorithms and Discreet Dancer will try two turns for the first time in the 1 1/16-mile Fountain of Youth.

Leading Gulfstream rider Javier Castellano has ridden both colts in all of their starts, but will be aboard Algorithms Sunday. John Velazquez will handle Discreet Dancer.
