Across town from Churchill Downs, Hansen breezed an easy half-mile Sunday at Trackside Training Center.

The 3-year-old son of Tapit covered the half-mile in :50.40 (2/2).  There were only two workouts at any distance on the tab at Trackside this morning. Despite heavy rain in Louisville overnight, the six-furlong training course was rated fast.

Hansen had the track nearly to himself. Under exercise rider Joel Barrientos, Hansen's fractions were :12, :24.60 and :37.60. He galloped out five furlongs in 1:05.40.

Trainer Mike Maker said he was looking for an easy move for Hansen. Assuming all is well, Maker said Hansen would probably work again next Saturday. The colt is being pointed toward the Grade I Wood Memorial at Aqueduct on April 7.
