For the first time this year, the Looking Good list was like a popcorn popper over the weekend. There are lots of changes and deletions to the lists today.
Daddy Long Legs won the Group 2 UAE Derby and was declared a contender for the Kentucky Derby by trainer Aiden O'Brien.
Wrote finished third in the UAE Derby and was declared a possible contender for the Kentucky Derby by trainer Aiden O'Brien.
Drill is apparently going to the Grade I Toyota Blue Grass, and he has the graded earnings, so we moved him from Just In Case.
Isn't He Clever has graded earnings of $188,000, so he's in the top 20 for now. Moved up from Worth Watching.
Mark Valeski finished second in the Grade II Louisiana Derby and now has $260,000 in graded earnings. Moved up from Worth Watching.
Reveron moves up from Worth Watching after finishing second in the Grade I Florida Derby. He has $220,000 graded earnings and could turn out to be on the bubble to make the Kentucky Derby.
Rousing Sermon, who debuted on this list in late January, now has $270,000 graded earnings after running third in the Louisiana Derby and moves back up from Worth Watching.
Take Charge Indy moves up from Worth Watching off his win of the million-dollar Florida Derby.
Hero of Order is Worth Watching because he won the Louisiana Derby at 109-1, even if he can't make the Kentucky Derby. Hero of Order won $600,000, but he's not Triple Crown nominated. If he's supplemented for $200,000 and assuming there's a full gate of Triple Crown nominees at scratch time, Hero of Order will not make the field.
Shared Property goes to Just In Case after running fifth in the Louisiana Derby. We haven't deleted him "just in case" he runs again before the Kentucky Derby.
Z Dager goes to Just In Case after running eighth in the Louisiana Derby. We haven't deleted him for the same reason.
After finishing last in the Grade II Risen Star, we gave Mr. Bowling the benefit of a doubt, but then he finished next-to-last in the Louisiana Derby.
Neck 'n Neck finished fifth, beaten 4 3/4 lengths in the Florida Derby.
News Pending finished seventh, beaten 15 3/4 lengths in the Florida Derby.
Thunder Moccasin hasn't put in a breeze since March 3 and was never a Derby candidate; he was there in case he scored points in fantasy stables.
Zacknmat hasn't breezed since March 17 and isn't being mentioned for the Grade I Santa Anita Derby.
Just In Case
Added back is Brother Francis, the maiden that will contest the Santa Anita Derby.
Street Life, who's probable for Saturday's Grade I Wood Memorial.
Trinniberg, probable for Saturday's Grade III Illinois Derby.
Blingo. His rider, Mike Smith, is committed to Midnight Transfer in the Santa Anita Derby.
Finnegans Wake finished far up the track in the Louisiana Derby.
Fort Loudon is deleted for the second time. He finished sixth, beaten six lengths in the Florida Derby.
Lucky Chappy finished seventh in the UAE Derby as the favorite, and Team Valor's Barry Irwin had already pretty much ruled him out of Kentucky Derby consideration anyway.
Midnight Crooner wasn't late-nominated to the Triple Crown.
