Kentucky Derby Future Wager: Vyack Odds Plunge on Day 2

On the second day of Pool 2 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager, odds on Vyjack dipped after his victory in the Grade III Gotham Stakes.

The Mutuel Field remained the favorite but climbed to 3-1 from Day 1's close of 9-5; and Verrazano remained the favored individual at 9-1, down a tick from his first-day close of 10-1. Vyjack’s odds tumbled to 14-1 by the late-evening  close on Saturday. He was 23-1 at the end of Friday’s opening day.
Wagering on the third and final day of Pool 2 resumes at Noon ET and will conclude at 6:00 p.m. ET. The Kentucky Oaks Pool closes at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Kentucky Derby fans have wagered $181,053 through the first two days of Pool 2, including $43,656 in exacta wagering. The final total for Pool 2 last year was $411,368. Day 3 of the pools usually garners increased wagering.
Close behind Verrazano after Saturday’s betting was Orb, who stood at 11-1.  He was followed at 12-1 by Revolutionary and three 13-1 risks in Shanghai Bobby, Itsmyluckyday and Flashback.
