Pool 3 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager, the final future wager pool of 2013, also opens today at Noon ET and closes Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The late nomination period for the 2013 Triple Crown, which requires payment of a $6,000 fee with each nominee, ends Saturday at 11:59 p.m. ET. For more information about that, visit www.TheTripleCrown.com.

Dominick Schettino's ALWAYS IN A TIZ (Worth Watching) has been shipped to Belmont Park and breezed there Thursday, four  in :48.40 (12/63). It was his first move since March 9. Apparently he's being pointed to the Wood Memorial now after missing the Rebel Stakes.

Tim Tullock's AMERIGO VESPUCCI (Just In Case) Thursday breezed for the first time since the March 2 Gotham, a bullet five in 1:00.20 (1/7) at LRL. He's not on the Wood probables list -- at this point.

Doug O'Neill's GOLDENCENTS (Worth Watching) Thursday breezed for the first time since the March 9 San Felipe, a leisurely six in 1:16.00 (6/6) at SA. Santa Anita Derby next.

The Jockey Club, in collaboration with the NBC Sports Group, will kick off the Road to Kentucky Derby series with a 30-minute special this Saturday on the NBC Sports Network from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. ET.

The special, produced by America’s Best Racing, will take look at top contenders as well as features on Gary Stevens, Rosie Napravnik and the six recent college graduates serving as “brand ambassadors” for America’s Best Racing.

Live racing telecasts start on March 30, with the Besilu Stables Florida Derby and the Louisiana Derby on NBC Sports Network from 6:00 to 7:00 ET.

The Wood Memorial and the Santa Anita Derby will air on NBC Sports Network on April 6 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. ET.

The series will conclude on April 13, with 2 1/2 hours of continuous coverage spread across two networks. A 90-minute live broadcast on NBC featuring the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes will be followed by a one-hour broadcast on the NBC Sports Network featuring the Arkansas Derby. The NBC telecast will air from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. ET; the NBC Sports Network telecast will air from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. ET.

The NBC Sports Network Channel Finder is located at nbcsports.msnbc.com.
