Several Kentucky Derby contenders are scheduled to arrive at Churchill Downs soon.

In addition to the expected Sunday arrival of Verrazano and Normandy Invasion from New York, reported here previously, Will Take Charge and Oxbow will come in from Oaklawn Park and take up residence in Barn 44 for four-time Kentucky Derby winning trainer D. Wayne Lukas.

Also be looking for Overanalyze, Den's Legacy and War Academy, as well as defending Breeders' Cup Classic winner Fort Larned. There's an unconfirmed report Govenor Charlie will arrive soon. Stay tuned for more on that.

Grade III Gotham winner and Wood Memorial third finisher Vyjack is expected to van from his New York base on Sunday or Monday and will be stabled in trainer Dale Romans' Barn 4. His trainer Rudy Rodriguez is scheduled to meet with the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission ("KHRC") License Review Committee on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the KHRC office in Lexington to be considered for a Kentucky racing license.

Meanwhile, plans for Orb remain unannounced.

“He is going to work in the morning at Payson,” trainer Shug McGaughey said Saturday. “We will decide after that work when he will ship.”
