Lien On Kitten Prevails in Kentucky Downs Juvenile Fillies

By Dick Downey

Ken and Sarah Ramsey once again demonstrated their dominance in turf racing, and that of their sire Kitten's Joy, when Lien On Kitten won the Kentucky Downs Juvenile Fillies with a late surge.
For a few seconds, it looked like J J Julep would win the race after coming from off the pace to run down pacesetter Pocket Gift. But Lien On Kitten was too strong in the late stages, getting by J J Julep a couple of jumps before the wire.
Wayne Catalano and Channing Hill teamed for their second wins of the day in the seven-furlong race timed in 1:24.77.
Lien On Kitten paid $5.80 to win, $4.00 to place and $2.80 to show.
Bred in Kentucky by the Ramsey's, Lien On Kitten is out of Mortgage the House, by Chester House. It was her second win in as many starts.

Personal Diary finished third and Pocket Gift settled for a tiring fourth.
