Favorites were dominant during day 3 of the Kentucky Downs meet, winning an astonishing nine of 10 races.
After opening day saw only two of 10 favorites win, one of four favorites were victorious during the shortened second day of racing. Lightning knocked out the tote after race 4.
So overall, with 24 races in the books, 12 of them (50%) have been won by favorites so far this meet.
Day 4 of the five-day meet begins on Wednesday at 12:35 CDT. There will be 13 races on the card instead of originally-scheduled 10.
Check back with The Downey Profile about any possible changes to the originally-announced format of the Handicapping Contest, which called for a 1:35 first post and mythical win-place bets on 10 races.
