Triple Crown nominee Orange Grove has sustained an injury that will sideline him for an indefinite period of time.
Team Valor bought Orange Grove after he won the 32Red Maiden Stakes at Wolverhampton last November. He had been shipped to Palm Meadows and was in training there when he was injured, according to the Feb. 11 report. Orange Grove had been pointed to the Palm Beach Stakes on March 1, the report said.
"Unfortunately, Orange Grove has sustained an injury which will rule him out for much of the season. It's terrible luck for all concerned but hopefully the horse will make a full recovery," said Toby Coles, who trained Orange Grove last year.
