Bayern Back on Worktab

By Dick Downey

Bayern, unbeaten in two starts, is back on the worktab after missing the San Felipe Stakes with a foot bruise.

On Thursday, he worked four furlongs in :47.40 (7/47) under Gary Stevens in company with Superlooper, who was timed in :48.00.

“He went nice,” trainer Bob Baffert said. “He sat behind a horse, he relaxed nice.”

Baffert would not commit on whether Bayern might run in either the Santa Anita Derby or Arkansas Derby.

Kobe's Back Back on Track

John Sadler said Kobe's Back has gone back to the track but that no plans are being made for him yet.
