In a tweet posted Monday afternoon, West Point Thoroughbreds said Commanding Curve will race next in the Belmont Stakes.

"Belmont Stakes up next," the Twitter posts says.

West Point's Jeff Lifson said this morning that the Travers Stakes is another major goal. After being questioned about passing on the Preakness, Lifson tweeted,  "In it for the long haul. Wanna win the the Belmont, Travers and swing at the older guys in the fall. We know our horse."

Commanding Curve was fastest down the lane in the Derby, per a tweet by Trakus, which said he covered the final quarter-mile in  :25.45.  Ride On Curlin was next fastest, :25.77, followed by California Chrome and Danza, each measured in :26.20.
