Rain is still forecast this Saturday morning, prompting several important final workouts for the Kentucky Derby to be moved up to Friday, but the ongoing outlook for Oaks/Derby week and weekend is very good.
As of this post, there's a 40% chance of rain on Sunday but no chance on Monday or Tuesday, the latter day being the first of the week with live racing at Churchill Downs. Wednesday has another 40% chance of rain, but there's only a 10 percent shot on Thursday and Friday and no chance of rain forecast on Kentucky Derby day.
Temperatures through the week are forecast to range from the high 60's to high 70's with 78 degrees projected on Derby day.
