Romans Wastes No Time....

'Brody' Back at Churchill

After winning the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, Brody’s Cause was soon back in his stall at Dale Romans' Churchill Downs barn.

Brody’s Cause, a winner at age two at the Louisville track and a graduate of Keeneland’s 2014 September Yearling Sale, was joined by Blue Grass third finisher Cherry Wine, also trained by Romans.

Romans told drf.com that all was well with the two colts Sunday morning.

My Man Sam, secomd in the Blue Grass, was also good the morning after the race, said Baldo Hernandez, assistant to trainer Chad Brown.

Trainer Eric Guillot is considering options for maiden Laoban, who led the Blue Grass field through six furlongs before being overtaken and finishing fourth. The Uncle Mo colt has 32 Derby qualifying points, good for 21st on the leaders list. Guillot said Laoban will remain at Keeneland for the time being pending a move of his stable to Churchill.
