Rebel Runners Doing Well Sunday

By Dick Downey

Updated 6:49 p.m. ET

Reports about most of the top finishers in the Rebel Stakes indicate they are doing well Sunday morning, including Malagacy, Sonneteer and Petrov.

Malagacy, winner of the race, will be returned to Florida but may be back for the Arkansas Derby on April 15. Multiple options are open for Sonneteer, who finished second, and Petrov, who was fourth, may be looking at either the Arkansas Derby or the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes a week earlier.

Untrapped is likely to come back in the Arkansas Derby, while Lookin at Lee, who ran sixth, could stay in Arkansas or head for the Blue Grass.

Silver Dust, who ran fifth, will stay put for the Arkansas Derby.

Uncontested will contest shorter races.
