Santa Anita Derby winner Justify has one workout left before the Kentucky Derby after a six-furlong move today timed in 1:13.20 (4/16).

Under jockey Drayden Van Dyke, Justify workout outside of company starting about a length back, tracked his workmate and then moved by in the stretch to get about two lengths in front at the finish line. The work ended a furlong beyond that, and Justify opened up on the workmate in his gallop-out. Trainer Bob Baffert reportedly caught Justify at five furlongs in 1:00.80 and out seven in 1:26.80.

“I was happy with the work,” said Baffert. “Everything went well. He’ll work one more time here next weekend."

The trainer said to Jay Privman, "He's a machine."

Baffert said Justify will be shipped to Churchill Downs during Derby week. He'll be accompanied by Solomini.

Added private clocker Toby Turrell: “Justify was just as impressive as he’s been up to this point. Nothing’s changed.”

Also working Saturday for the Kentucky Derby was Jerry Hollendorfer trainee Instilled Regard, 22nd on the Kentucky Derby points leaderboard. The Jerry Hollendorfer trainee went five furlongs in 1:01.00 (37/94).
