Kentucky Derby and Horse Racing at The Downey Profile®

Justify Going Back to Track Thursday

Look for Belmont Stakes contenders to start gearing up in Louisville for the June 9 race.

On Thursday, Kentucky Derby/Preakness Stakes winner Justify will be taken to track for training for the first time since last Saturday. Bravazo (second in the Preakness), Tenfold (third) and Free Drop Billy are expected to join Justify beneath the twin spires at Churchill Downs.

Jay Privman reports Bob Baffert said Justify didn't lose any weight in Baltimore, and that he plans to breeze Justify at Churchill Downs the weekend before the Belmont. The plan is to ship to New York the week of the race, a la American Pharoah.

At Horse Racing Nation, Jonathan Lintner reported that Churchill Downs may begin live streaming of the Belmont horses exerciseing during a special 7:30 ET reserved time. More on that later if it materializes.
