According to Brisnet research passed on to me earlier this year, Curlin had no winners from 22 starters at the Kentucky Downs prior to this meet. The first race  on Sept. 1 thus produced the first winner ever by Curlin at Kentucky Downs. Note that the dam sire of that winner is Dynaformer, whose descendants win often at Kentucky Downs. Two winners on opening day were by War Front, another sire whose progeny have run well at Kentucky Downs in the past. A.P. Indy is a name you see in pedigrees that win here. And of course the success of Kitten's Joy's progeny at Kentucky Downs is legendary.
