The rescheduled Patton Stakes will go off about 15 minutes after the Road To The Kentucky Derby Conditions Stakes at Kempton on Wednesday.

The Patton, set for one mile on synthetic track at Dundalk in Ireland, drew the same eight final declarations as the original fixture, which was canceled on Friday after the sudden death of racing official Willie Buckley. He collapsed in Dundalk's walking ring on after the second race.

The canceled races are all on Wednesday's card, highlighted by the Patton, which is the 7:15 fixture, or 2:15 eastern time in the U. S.

The race drew the same eight final declarations as originally drawn. Of those eight, Van Beethoven and Western Australia are nominated to the Triple Crown.

Five of the entries are trained by an O'Brien -- Aiden O'Brien with three and Joseph O'Brien with two. Aiden O'Brien trains both Van Beethoven and Western Australia.

The morning line favorite here in the U. S. after the original draw was Western Australia (IRE) at 3-2, and he's shown now at Racing Post as the 11-8 favorite.

Ryan Moore is named to ride Western Australia for the first time, and this will be the seventh career start for the son of Australia (GB). Western Australia, who has one win from six starts, makes his 2019 debut. Moore rode Van Beethoven in all his previous starts, but on Wednesday the son of Scat Daddy will have Donnacha O'Brien in the irons. Van Beethoven also races for the first time this year.

Derrick Smith, Mrs John Magnier and Michael Tabor own both Western Australia and Van Beethoven.

The Kentucky Derby Conditions Stakes at Kempton, which is near London, has a local post time of 7:00, or  2:00 eastern time on Wednesday.

One of the 10 entries, only Spanish Mission is nominated to the Triple Crown. He's owned by Earle Mack and Team Valor International, trained by David Simcock and will have Jamie Spencer up.

Spanish Mission, a son of Noble Mission (GB),  has raced twice, most recently easily winning a 10-furlong outing against three others last November on the synthetic surface at Chelmsford for then-owner Tick Tock Partnership, for whom Simcock also trained.

Once the Patton and the Condition Stakes are in the books, one other Euro-Road to the Kentucky Derby race remains on the schedule, the Cardinal Stakes on April 11.

Only one horse can make the Kentucky Derby from the European Road. The Patton is worth 20-8-4-2 points to the top four finishers, as is the Road To The Kentucky Derby Conditions Stakes . The Cardinal has a 30-12-6-3 point structure.
