Kentucky Derby and Horse Racing at The Downey Profile®

Top Finishers Well in Hot Springs on Sunday

Arkansas Derby winner Omaha Beach was feeling well on Sunday morning as plans for his departure were being made.

Last word is that he'll be vanned to Churchill Downs on Tuesday, per trainer Richard Mandella.

Improbable, second by a length, was seen walking the shedrow Sunday morning. Like Omaha Beach, he's pointing for the Kentucky Derby, per trainer Bob Baffert. Plans are to ship him to Louisville by air on Monday.

Third finisher Country House was also doing well on Sunday morning. A decision is pending on his Kentucky Derby status, and shipping plans haven't been revealed yet.

Long Range Toddy, who had plenty of Kentucky Derby points before the Arkansas Derby, faltered to a sixth-place finish. There's no word yet on his status.
