War of Will and stable mates arrived at Pimlico Race Course from Churchill Downs at 2:30 this morning, the first horse on the grounds for Preakness 144.
“They looked like they shipped in really well,” said assistant trainer Kim Carroll. “They left yesterday afternoon, and it was a pretty easy ship up. We’re excited to be here. The weather is actually quite good for shipping, nice and cool.”
On the van with War of Will were Flameaway, entered in Friday’s Pimlico Special, and Gio Game, entered in Friday’s Allaire DuPont Distaff. All are trained by Mark Casse.
Based on previous reports from Pimlico, the remaining prospective Preakness field is coming in over the next three days.
