Kentucky Derby and Horse Racing at The Downey Profile®

Euro Derby Road Resumes Friday

There are three European Road to the Derby races in 2020, and two of them will be staged in the next few days.

On Friday at Dundalk in Ireland, the one-mile Woodford Reserve Patton Stakes will be staged over the track's all-weather surface.

The Patton Stakes features four Triple Crown nominees, including the Aidan O’Brien-trained trio of Battle of Liege, King of Athens and New World Tapestry.

Patton Entries

The second leg of this year's European Road to the Kentucky Derby is on Wednesday, March 4 with the Road to the Kentucky Derby Condition Stakes at Kempton Park in Britain, also at one mile. Final entries aren't available today.

Each race offers points to the top four finishers on a 20-8-4-2 scale on the European Road.

The series will conclude on April 2 at Chelmsford City with the Cardinal Condition Stakes, which offer 30-12-6-3 points.
