This morning's weather and the forecast for the remaining part of the day indicates a sloppy track is expected. The track may be sealed as well.

Admire Daytona was second on a good track and fourth on a muddy one in a pair of maiden races.

American Promise broke his maiden on a muddy track at Oaklawn Park, but he was eighth in a maiden race on a sloppy track at Churchill Downs.

Coal Battle won his debut on a sloppy track and the Jean Lafitte stakes in the mud.

Ehalt reported Curlin, Journalism's dad, is an excellent wet-track sire. Curlin also sired Grande, but he is scratched.

Luxor Cafe has four starts on wet track with three wins and a close second. His sire American Pharoah won in the slop in the Rebel Stakes and Preakness.

Neoequos won a Florida-bred allowance race at Gulfstream Park on a sloppy surface.

Publisher was second on a muddy track at Oaklawn and third on a sloppy track at Churchill Downs, both of them maiden races.

Into Mischief is known for progeny who handle off tracks, according to Ehalt. He sired Sovereignty and Citizen Bull.

Sandman is by Tapit out of a Distorted Humor mare, which, according to Ehalt, gives him good wet-track bloodlines.
